streicheln verlegen mein Ohr

The sad face of the beloved in the midst of an imagining of porcelain

As you talk
my head lies in the Wang Tang soup
Wang Tang is an arbitrary thing
from the later period
but these underwater shots – (where do they come from?)
you must be able to hear my erection clear into the kitchen
you are ashamed
and the plastic women from Phnom Penh – (who sent them?)
caress my ear, embarrassed
the head that gives off bubbles

This connection must exist:
from the depths of the plate a path,
impossible to make out, through porcelain layers of skin, the crumbs of clay
on the boring tongue, boring themselves,
they don't bother me, for I hear you as one hears things
under water, and with my tongue I scrape
the sediment of the Wang Tang

Of the class of animals painted with fine-haired brush,
on the floor of the plate the two-torsoed dog, the many-eater
counsels moderation, too late -

You cry while looking at my artistry
I hear it in the way you smoke
softly the ludic groceries rock us
the table in indecipherable symmetry
