Modern Slavery
Modern Slavery
It's modern slavery
With modern strategies
In several dimensions
1
It’s a burning coal in our hands; it’s a fire in our hearts
We cried up they closed up their ears
We call them by name they pretend not see us
Indeed they hate us but they can’t do without us
We built cities with hard work under perpetual servitude
Am totally flabbergasted, real fatigue
It's embargoed perplexion with heaps of ambitions on an ignorant honest toiler,
harnessed with heavy economic quandaries
2
We are the African honest toilers living a hopeless life
We strive day and night to produce crop but we hardly get the bread
Whilst villains the rascals and loafers of our innocent sweat sit down the whole of their
life to deride and seize the fruit of our toil
As a result our food is so scanty, our cloths are laughs and our lodgings are dilapidated
shanties
With sycophancy and artificial perseverance
We strike for a chance of equality instead we are minimized up to complete disposable
tools of making money for their empires
We have been clashed down by tumult uproar of mythic conviction and discontention
And I feel to explode by terrible grip of agony from your cruelty and mistreatment
Imagine we worked in a clothing factory 13hours a day for $3 a week
Some of our fingers pilled off but unknown compensation
Garments they dispatched to West and America to be clothed for three weeks only
Later they sent back to us
By settling the shipping cost we possess second hand cloths from our local markets
Indeed we are rationalized as second hand people worthy for second hand items, new
ones are unknown luxuries to us
3
All handsome paying jobs diverted into their hands, cheap labour left for us
Ancestors were forced at leash to West and America for forced human toil
While us, the progeny, we scrambles at will to West and America for menial jobs in
searching for life long security and better living conditions other than what we have here
in Africa
Since we are made slaves in our own countries, prisoners of pauperism and inextricable
bankruptcy
Indeed modernized slavery is the sum of all villains with secret formulas justifiable in
oppressive commercial systems
