Although Yannis Stigas, born 1977 in Athens, is still very young, his poems startle with their maturity and clarity and the force of their imagery. Within his dynamic utterance abstract and material, internal and external, light and darkness are constantly integrated at the margins of perception, pushing poetry to the limit.

Stiggas has already written three volumes of poetry, and his poems have appeared in many poetry magazines and anthologies. His texts have been translated into English, French, Italian and Bulgarian. In 2007 he took part as a performer in the Karaoke Poetry Bar, a project organised by intothepill.
