Johanna Venho (born 1971) is a Finnish poet and a children´s book author. In her poems Venho weaves the everyday, the mythological, and rhyme into a poetry of womanhood and experience. Venho seasons her stanzas with the unique rhythm and sonorousness of rune-songs. Her poetry combines the tradition and the present, showing the miracles in our everyday life. The magical realism is common to her poems. Venho is very talented in connecting the point of view of an adult and a child. She uses natural imagery in multiple ways reflecting inner moods.
