Giorgi Kekelidze (გიორგი კეკელიძე) was born in Ozurgeti in 1984. He studied at Egnate Ninoshvili N1 public school and during 2001 -2009 at Tbilisi State University. He was awarded with a Magister Degree in Humanitarian Studies. In 2006-2008 he was working as a Georgian Language and Literature teacher at Rustavi N2 penitentiary.

Giorgi was a editor of juvenile newspaper ' 8 + 1'.

He is the founder and chief editor of the Georgian electronic library and also the founded the literature competition lib.ge and the magazine 'L'il'.

On 5 March, 2012 he was announced the head of Georgian National Library. He is the youngest director in this position ever.
