be rgb (Beatriz Regina Guimarães Barboza) was born in 1994 in Campinas, Brazil. A poet, translator, and editor, they conducts research on feminist and queer translation studies at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) and has published numerous essays on the connection between feminism (queerness, gender) and translation. A poetic process that characterizes beatriz rgb's poems is the use of different languages - besides Portuguese, especially Spanish and Catalan - and other interjections, often sensed after sounds and homophonies.

Together with Meritxell Marsal, they translated the volume Desglaç by the Catalan poet Maria-Mercè Marçal and was shortlisted for the Prémio Jabuti for translation in 2020 with this translation.

be rgb has published several volumes of poetry, including quartos esvaziados (Urutau, 2015) and most recently querides monstres - traduzindo em sentido insular with Douda Correria (2021).

Together with Emanuela Siqueira and Julia Raiz, they is the editor of 'Pontes Outras' and, also with the latter, of the magazine 'Arcana'. With Emanuela Siqueira and Julia Raiz, they translated "Bash Back! Queer Ultraviolence" (Crocodilo and n-1 edições, 2020).
