Dovilė Zelčiūtė is a poet. She studied Lithuanian language and literature at Vilnius University Kaunas Faculty of Humanities. At present she works for the cultural weekly Nemunas and publishes articles in the press.

Her first book of poems Akligatvio erdvė (Alleway space) was published in 1991. In 2004 Lapkričio pratimėliai (November Exercises) received the Prize of Salomėja Nėris and in 2005 Atgal į vandenį (Back into the Water) won Julijonas Lindė-Dobilas Prize. Zelčiūtė's poetry has been translated into German, English, Bulgarian and Polish languages.

She lives and works in Kaunas.
